Abstract
Carboxylate bridges link the two independent molecules in the asymmetr ic unit of the title compound, [Sn(C5H8NO2S2)(C6H5)(3)], into a helica l chain parallel to b {i.e. -mu-(N,N-dimethylthiocarbamoylthioacetato) -O:O']). Both five-coordinate Sn atoms show trans-C3SnO2 trigonal bipy ramidal coordination geometry.
