Abstract
The title compound, BBBT-DTT (C17H12Br2S5), consists of one DMIT (4,5- dimercapto-1,3-dithiole-2-thione) and two p-bromobenzyl moieties. The molecular packing is characterized by S ... S (head-to-head) and Br .. . Br (tail-to-tail) intermolecular interactions, with intermolecular d istances S2 ... S2(-x, -y, 1-z) 3.36 (1) and Br ... Br(-2 -x, 1-y, -z) 3.68 (1) Angstrom.
