Abstract
L-Serine O-sulfate inactivates gamma-aminobutyric acid aminotransferas e (GABA-AT) by a mechanism that involves elimination of the leaving gr oup and an enamine rearrangement, the same mechanism as that for the i nactivation of GABA-AT by 4-amino-5-fluoropentanoic acid.
