The T(c) dependence on the density of radiation defects for the electr
on-type high-T(c) superconductor Nd2-xCeCuO4-y was measured. It was fo
und that in this material as well as in the hole-type HTSC T(c) droppe
d to zero at some critical defect concentration. However the value of
the critical concentration was ten times less in the former case. The
temperature dependence of the critical fluence and other results indic
ate the same mechanisms of suppression of superconductivity by defects
in both types of HTSC.
