The management of AIDS-related malignancies demands that the cancer mu
st be treated in the context of patients already suffering from a fata
l disease. Management must be problem-orientated. The standard cancer
treatment of such a patient may not be appropriate in the AIDS setting
. The AIDS related malignancies are Kaposi's sarcoma (KS) and non-Hodg
kin's lymphoma (NHL) incuding primary cerebral lymphoma. Carcinoma of
the cervix was recently added to this list, but has not been seen in t
his context in the UK.
