MALIGNANT SCHWANNOMA OF THE SCIATIC-NERVE - RADIOLOGIC FINDINGS

The authors reports a case of malignant schwannoma of sciatic nerve. C linically, this tumor was manifested by a progressive tumefaction of t he leg, and moderate pain, without fonctionnal signs. The origin of th e sciatic nerve has been suspected by computed tomography, because its location, the vascular contacts, and the lesion's extension. Biopsy l eads to confirm the nerve tumor, and precised the histologic type: mal ignant schwannoma. Local, regional and general extension did not permi se treatment.
