Abstract
The title compound consists of a neutral [Co(C2H)(C3H9P)(4)] unit, wit h the ligands arranged in a distorted trigonal bipyramidal configurati on, retaining threefold axial symmetry. The C=CH ligand occupies an ax ial position, with a C=L bond length of 1.185 (6) Angstrom. This compo und represents the first structurally characterized example of a cobal t(I)-ethynyl complex.
