Abstract
The synthesis of 3-O-acetyl-7,8-dihydromorphine-6-O-sulfate [IUPAC: (5 alpha,6 acetoxy-4,5-epoxy-17-methyl-6-morphinaniosulfate], C19H23NO7S , which has important analgesic properties, has been confirmed crystal lographically. In the solid state, the zwitterions are linked into cha ins by N-H ... O hydrogen bonds.
