Abstract
The organic donor molecule PEDT-TTF (3,4-pyrazino-3' ,4'-ethylenedithi o-2,2',5,5'-tetrathiafulvalene) forms a semiconducting 3:1 solvate sal t with TlI4- in TCE (1,1,2-trichloroethane), (C10H6N2S6)(3)(+).TlI4-.C 2H3C13 its crystal structure contains stacks with six sinusoidally dis placed PEDT-TTF molecules per repeat unit. However, the topology of sh ort intermolecular S ... S interactions is one dimensional in the tran sverse direction which coincides with the direction of the most develo ped crystal growth.
