Abstract
Compact telescope configurations incorporating a holographic correctio n of large, low-quality primary collectors are demonstrated. Aberratio n correction is demonstrated with an off-axis laser beacon located clo se to the primary. This arrangement results in a compact telescope wit h minimum obscuration. The reduction of additional off-axis aberration s introduced by the method is also demonstrated. (C) 1996 Optical Soci ety of America
