CHANCE-CONSTRAINED OPTIMIZATION WITH SPATIALLY AUTOCORRELATED FOREST YIELDS

This note investigates the implications of spatially autocorrelated yi elds on forest management optimization procedures and results. The pro blem is defined and analyzed conceptually, followed by a simple case e xample demonstration. It is concluded that spatial arrangements may be quite important in managing risk and uncertainty in forest ecosystems .
