Regulation of the coordinated adenylate energy charge (AEC) and ATP/AD
P ratio variations was studied with the did of computer-made simulatio
ns. When the equilibrium state for the adenylate kinase-catalyzed reac
tion has been assumed the function describing the coordinated REC and
ATP/ADP ratio variations can be simply derived from the formulas descr
ibing these 2 parameters. The model was used to analyze incidence of A
MP deamination in the coordinated regulation of cellular energy metabo
lism.
