C. Verbruggen et al., PHOSPHONIC ACID AND PHOSPHINIC ACID TRIPEPTIDES AS INHIBITORS OF GLUTATHIONYLSPERMIDINE SYNTHETASE, Bioorganic & medicinal chemistry letters, 6(3), 1996, pp. 253-258
A series of phosphonic and phosphinic acid derivatives of glutathione
were synthesized as potential inhibitors of glutathionylspermidine syn
thetase, an essential enzyme in the biosynthesis of trypanothione in t
rypanosomatids. The compounds showed moderate activity.
