Abstract
The universal relational nuclear structure and decay database NESSY (N ew ENSDF Search SYstem) developed for the IBM/PC and compatible PCs, a nd based on the international file ENSDF (Evaluated Nuclear Structure Data File), is described. The NESSY provides the possibility of high e fficiency processing (the search and retrieval of any kind of physical data) of the information from ENSDF. The principles of the database d evelopment are described and examples of applications are presented.
