Abstract
In experiments on rabbits it was found that single application of acup uncture to the analogs of points Shaoshang (P-11), Shangyang (Gi-1), a s well as Dazhui (Gv-14) and Zusanli (St-36) in conditions of pyrogena l fever produced a marked antipyretic effect. Combination of acupunctu re with injections of sodium salicylate (30 mg/kg) in dosage that does not possess antipyretic action may enhance the effect of acupuncture.
