Abstract
Fourteen terpenoids, including six new compounds, have been isolated f rom the marine Acanthella cavernosa collected off Hachijo-jima Island. They inhibit of larval attachment and metamorphosis of the barnacle B alanus amphitrite. Their structures were determined mainly by spectros copic methods.
