J. Pelka et J. Zagrodzinski, NONLINEAR APPROACH TO THE EXCITATION OF A JOSEPHSON-JUNCTION BY AN ELECTROMAGNETIC-FIELD, Physica. B, Condensed matter, 192(4), 1993, pp. 378-384
The excitation of a Josephson junction (J(j)) by an external electroma
gnetic field has been reported. The proposed numerical model has been
obtained by considering the class of quasi-periodic solutions of the u
nperturbed sine-Gordon equation (sGe) and their soliton approximation.
The five-phase sGe solution contains bouncing fluxons, bias and the b
reather-type phase which modulate the electromagnetic field on the edg
e of the junction. Using a self-consistent phenomenological model of t
he tong, nondissipative J(j), the influence of the external electromag
netic field to volt-ampere (I-V) characteristics is discussed.
