REACTIVE ARTHRITIS BY STAPHYLOCOCCUS-EPIDERMIDIS - REPORT OF AN UNUSUAL CASE

In the Literature many cases of Staphylococcus epidermidis (SE) compli cations are reported, but we have not found any reference about reacti ve arthritis secondary to SE. We report an unusual case of a patient w ith SE bacteriaemia, who developed elbow arthritis, asymmetrical sacro iliitis, keratoderma and restrictive cardiomyopathy. The clinical pict ures, the instrumental and biochemical findings, in particular the pos itivity of HLA B27, allow us to set this case in the complex and heter ogeneous chapter of reactive arthritis.
