Dielectric spectroscopy in the 10(6) to 10(9) Hz range is reported for
ceramics of the Pb2K(Nb1-xTax)(5)O-15 solid solution of tetragonal tu
ngsten bronze-derived structure. Two dielectric relaxations are observ
ed. The first one, which exists for all compositions in both ferroelec
tric and paraelectric states, must be related to the structure of the
materials. The second one, which appears only in the ferroelectric sta
te and whose contribution to the permittivity increases with increasin
g diffuseness of the paraelectric-ferroelectric transition, is related
to composition fluctuations.
