Abstract
We derive the Ginzburg-Landau equation for two-dimensional d-wave supe rconductors with fourfold symmetry. The two d-wave components of the o rder parameter with d(x2-y2) and d(xy) symmetry are mixed by the compo nent of a magnetic field perpendicular to the two-dimensional plane, T he mixing of the two components causes a significant paramagnetic effe ct in the strong-field region.
