Abstract
A new species of Strepsiptera is described from South Africa. Halictox enos knereri sp. n. is parasitic in Halictus (Seladonia) virescens var . africanus and H. (S.) jucundus (Hymenoptera: Halictidae). The female and first instar larvae of African Halictoxenos are recorded for the first time. A key is provided for the three Halictoxenos species recor ded from the Afrotropical Region.
