Splanchnic arterial pseudoaneurysm is an infrequently encountered but
potentially devastating complication of chronic recurrent pancreatitis
-a mortality rate of 12-40% has been reported [1, 2]. Although angiogr
aphy is the gold standard, the diagnosis has been made with contrast-e
nhanced CT [3] and gray-scale [4, 5] and duplex [6] sonography. Mitche
ll et al. [7] were first to show the value of color Doppler imaging fo
r making the diagnosis. We describe variable Doppler findings that occ
urred during 13 days in a patient with splenic artery pseudoaneurysm.
