Abstract
We present novel multichannel methods in two target research areas. Th e first area Is color image modeling. Multichannel AR models have been developed and applied to color texture segmentation and synthesis. Th e second area is color image equalization, which is performed on the t hree channels RGB simultaneously, using the joint pdf. Alternatively, equalization at the HSI domain is performed in order to avoid changes in digital image hue. A parallel algorithm is proposed for color image histogram calculation and equalization.
