A new compensating gauge method has been developed for the elimination
of force interactions in multicomponent strain-gauge dynamometers at
inner-bridge level so that force components may be read independently
from each other. Theoretical analyses as well as verifying experiments
have been carried out. Good agreement between theoretical and experim
ental results is seen and the effectiveness of the new method is verif
ied.
