Abstract
The multiplicities and chemical shifts of the 5'-hydroxyl resonances i n the NMR spectra of a series of purine-like C-nucleosides reflect the presence of a hydrogen bond to N(1), and hence afford a method for as sessing solution syn/anti conformational preferences.
