Abstract
Detailed multinuclear magnetic resonance studies on phenylphosphonic d ichloride oriented in mixed and individual nematic liquid crystals hav e been carried out. Analysis of the H-1, C-13, and P-31 NMR spectra pr ovided precise geometrical and orientational parameters and the signs and the magnitudes of the indirect spin-spin couplings between heteron uclei.
