Abstract
Remarkable monomers were obtained during the production of metallic fr
actal aggregates. In particular copper has yielded a faceted structure
, a triacontaoctahedron (38 faces), which bears similarity to the mult
ifaceted carbon fullerenes but at a different scale. The observed mono
mers exhibit scale invariance over a sizeable scale factor and thus se
em to imply a seed at the atomic level having the same structure.
