Abstract
A male castrated 12-year-old pointer dog developed an almond-sized pro static calculus 5 years after the diagnosis of a prostatic abscess tre ated by marsupialization. Laminated structure, composition of struvite and calcium carbonate, and clinically documented reflux of urine sugg est an exogenous type of prostatic calculus, derived from urine.
