M. Giry et al., DRIVEN QUANTUM HARMONIC-OSCILLATORS LINEARLY COUPLED TO ANOTHER NON-DRIVEN OSCILLATOR - A DYNAMIC STUDY, Comptes rendus de l'Academie des sciences. Serie II. Mecanique, physique, chimie, astronomie, 322(2), 1996, pp. 145-150
The dynamics of a driven quantum harmonic oscillator linearly coupled
to another oscillator that is non driven is studied in relation to the
boundary conditions according to which the oscillators are at initial
time in their ground state. The calculations are performed in the fra
mework of the normal ordering formalism involving normal order Bosons.
It is Sound that the full-time evolution operator of the system facto
rizes into the reduced evolution operators of both oscillators, which
appear to be those of coherent states. Parameters characterizing these
coherent states may be expressed in terms of the quantum energies of
the oscillators, of the driven parameter and of the coupling energy be
tween the oscillators.
