Abstract
Postpneumonectomy syndrome has only been described after a right pneum onectomy except in cases of congenital mediastinal anomalies or right- sided aortic arch. Placement of Silastic prostheses into the empty hem ithorax is the preferred surgical treatment; however, other nonsurgica l options exist. Herein, we report a case of left postpneumonectomy sy ndrome in an adult who was successfully treated with the placement of an endobronchial stent.
