TRANSITIONAL-CELL CARCINOMA OF THE ENDOMETRIUM

Only one case of endometrial transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) has bee n previously reported in the literature, We report a second case, In b oth the previously reported case and in this case there was a separate focus of TCC in the adnexa, Both patients were treated with adjuvant whole pelvic radiation and are alive and without evidence of disease a t 5 years and 15 months, respectively, Study of more cases of endometr ial TCC is needed to determine whether this type of endometrial carcin oma has a more favorable response to radiation therapy than other type s of endometrial carcinoma with extrauterine spread.
