Abstract
An unusual combination of osteochondroma, ankylosing spondylitis, thal assemia alpha, and thrombocytopenia was found in a young man who had o nce been an amphetamine addict. The association of these settings migh t have been coincidental but it cannot be excluded that the preexistin g inflammatory processes or tissue destruction in the latter 3 disease s might have rendered the patient prone to the development of osteocho ndroma.
