Abstract
hylene-3,7-diamino)-1,5,2,4,6,8-dithiatetrazocine, C12H22N6S2, is the first cyclophane to contain the dithiatetrazocine ring system. The het erocycle is sharply folded, with a dihedral angle of 101.8-degrees, al ong an axis drawn through the two S atoms. The bridging octamethylene chain passes over one side, rather than over the center, of the hetero cyclic ring.
