Abstract
The crystallographic characterization of the title molecule, C7H7F3N2O 2, distinguishes it from its isomer, ethoxycarbonyl-1-methyl-4-trifluo romethylpyrazole, which is the major product in their joint synthesis. The bond lengths, except for C3-C4, are consistent with other molecul es having substituents on the same ring positions. The pyrazole ring a nd the carboxy group plane are nearly coplanar.
