Abstract
The title compound, 3-(4-chlorophenyl)-1-phenyl-2-propen-1-one, C15H11 ClO, has a torsion angle of 7.1-degrees for O(1)-C(9)-C(8)-C(7) of the 2-propen-1-one moiety. H atoms in the central propenone group are tra ns and the dihedral angle between the phenyl rings is 14.34-degrees.
