Abstract
The effects of two planes of nutrition: (A): Suckling and grazing (B): Creep-feeding in addition to suckling and grazing, on growth performa nce of N'Dama calves were studied under a tropical environment. Result s showed that treatment (B) gave significantly (p < 0.5) higher rates of gain and body weights than treatment(A). Significant differences we re also found between the two treatments for linear body treatments. C reep-fed calves had a conformation score of 4.76 ''choice'' and the no n-creep-fed calves scored 4.21 ''good''. It was concluded that treatme nt (B) had significant influence on the growth performance of suckling N'Dama calves.
