All systemic diseases can affect the eye. This article discusses the c
linical changes in the eye within traditional disease categories. Emph
asis is placed on the most common disorders, those in which specific e
ye findings assist in diagnosis and those where involvement of the eye
requires urgent referral to an ophthalmologist.
