Abstract
A detergent Triton X-100 was found to affect maltose-induced synthesis of extracellular, mycelial and intracellular a-glucosidase in the the rmophilic fungus Malbranchea sulfurea. The extracellular fraction of t he total a-glucosidase yield was found to be 90.7% and 40.4% in the pr esence and absence of the detergent, respectively. Data suggest that s upplementation of the detergent in the medium resulted in the partial solubilization of the cell-bound a-glucosidase and caused its release in the growth medium.
