Abstract
Thiaminase I catalyzes the displacement of the thiazole moiety of thia min by a wide variety of nucleophiles. In this paper, we demonstrate t hat this reaction proceeds with overall retention of stereochemistry. (C) 1995 Academic Press, Inc.
