Abstract
This study attempts to understand factors in the family and in the pee r group that influences aggression. 106 adolescents and their mothers were studied in a fishermen's colony, Mangalore. It was found that fac tors such as poverty, poor parental relationships and poor peer group influenced aggression. Family factors were more dominant than peer gro up factors in influencing aggression.
