Si. Gerber et Wj. Cromie, HERPES-SIMPLEX VIRUS TYPE-2 INFECTION ASSOCIATED WITH URINARY RETENTION IN THE ABSENCE OF GENITAL LESIONS, The Journal of pediatrics, 128(2), 1996, pp. 250-251
A 14-year-old boy had inguinal lymphadenitis and associated urinary re
tention; herpetic genital and anal lesions were absent. Lymph node bio
psy established the presence of infection with herpes simplex virus ty

al diagnosis of adolescent patients with urinary retention and constip
ation, even when the diagnostic clue provided by genital ulcers is abs
ent.
