M. Kawaguchi et al., EFFECT OF LIGHT-EXPOSURE DURATION ON THE AMOUNT OF LEACHABLE MONOMERSFROM LIGHT-ACTIVATED RELINE MATERIAL, The Journal of prosthetic dentistry, 75(2), 1996, pp. 183-187
Leaching of monomers from light-activated direct intraoral reline mate
rial (Lebaron LC) was determined by means of high-pressure liquid chro
matography analysis, This study evaluated the effects of exposure dura
tion and thickness to determine appropriate curing conditions that red
uce the levels of unreacted monomeric components, Prolonged duration o
f exposure (30 minutes) reduced the amount of leached monomer, However
, the results of this study indicated that the amount of leached monom
eric components increased with an increasing reline material thickness
, The results suggest that the light-activated reline material should
be cured for sufficient prolonged exposure duration.
