S. Nagamachi et al., TI-201 SPECT IN KIMURAS-DISEASE INVOLVING THE PAROTID-GLANDS AND CERVICAL NODES, Clinical nuclear medicine, 21(2), 1996, pp. 125-128
Kimura's disease is a chronic inflammatory condition producing subcuta
neous tumor-like nodules, mainly in the head and neck region. Most pat
ients have involvement of regional lymph nodes and major salivary glan
ds, The authors present two cases of Kimura's disease with parotid gla
nd and postauricular lymph node involvement. With Tl-201 SPECT, elevat
ed uptake was noted on early and delayed images, Kimura's disease shou
ld be included in the differential diagnosis when increased Tl-201 upt
ake in head and neck mass lesions is noted.
