Em. Gushchin et al., TRACK SENSITIVITY AND MAXIMUM EXPOSURE DENSITY OF NUCLEAR-EMULSION INTHE CONTROLLED MODE, Nuclear tracks & radiation measurements, 21(3), 1993, pp. 391-395
The paper presents the results of measurements of track sensitivity of
controllable a ''primitive'' nuclear emulsion for particles with diff
erent ionization densities. In the pulse electric field the probabilit
y of such emulsion microcrystal development reaches 0.85-1 for particl
es with ionization density I = (2-5) . I(r) (I(r) is the minimum ioniz
ation density). The evaluated minimum threshold energy needed for deve
lopment of primitive emulsion microcrystals is about 35 keV. It is sho
wn that the Monte Carlo simulation can be used with success for evalua
ting the maximum exposure density of a controllable emulsion track det
ector.
