C. Sanlavilleboisson et al., USING DATA-BASES FOR SAMPLE MANAGEMENT IN FISH ECOLOGY, Bulletin francais de la peche et de la pisciculture, (337-9), 1995, pp. 121-129
The study of species/environment relationships at different spatial an
d temporal scales requires the processing of large data sets including
both biological and environmental information. In order to optimize t
he management of ecological data in computers, several databases (acco
rding to different data structures) were constructed using different d
atabase management systems on microcomputers. Together with these syst
ems, specific applications were developed in order to improve informat
ion management, from data input to obtaining the tables to be analyzed
