Abstract
Single crystals of Ti0.54W0.O-46(2) have been prepared by CO2-LASER te chniques. This phase crystallizes with a non-distorted rutile structur e, space group D-4h(14)-P4(2)/mnm, a = 4.6862(4), c = 2.9039(3) Angstr om, Z = 2. Split positions of the statistically distributed metal ions show the existence of W-W pair formation as reported for pure WO2.
