Abstract
The branching ratios of the decays of the states psi(3770) and UPSILON (10580) into pi+pi-, KKBAR, omegapi0, omegaeta, omegaeta', rhopi, phoe ta, proeta', KKBAR + c,c,. rho+rho-, K*K*BAR are evaluated. They proc eed via real intermediate states DDBAR) and BBBAR, respectively. The s um of calculated branching ratios is 4 x 10(-3) and 5 x 10(-3), respec tively, assuming the quark-antiquark content of the psi(3770) and UPSI LON(10580). The cited values exceed corresponding three-gluon branchin g ratios by an order of magnitude. The study of the above decays at th e tau-charm and B factories would permit us to obtain new valuable inf ormation about the DDBAR [BBBAR] interaction near threshold and, in pa rticular, to solve the problem of whether the state psi(3770) [UPSILON (10580)] is a DDBAR [BBBAR] molecule. The intensities of the decays ps i(4040) --> D(s)D(s)BAR --> phieta(eta'), psi(3770) --> DDBAR --> J/ps i(1S) + pi-degrees(eta), and UPSILON(10580) --> BBBAR --> UPSILON(1S) +pi-degrees(eta) are also evaluated.
