Abstract
The pseudospectral continuation technique introduced in Karageorghis a nd Sivaloganathan for 2-D recirculating flows is extended to three dim ensions. The pseudospectral/continuation strategy is applied to the vo rticity/vector potential formulation of the Boussinesq equations and u sed to successfully solve the three-dimensional air-filled buoyancy dr iven cavity problem at various Rayleigh numbers.
