REFERENCE LINES FOR OBLIQUE AXIAL MR-IMAGING OF THE BRAIN

Reference lines that correspond to the three reference lines used at c omputed tomography were determined on 50 normal midsagittal magnetic r esonance brain images. Lines were drawn from the mammillary body to th e posterior tentorial attachment to the sinus (orbitomeatal), from the center of the pituitary gland to the posterior tentorial attachment t o the sinus (Reid baseline), from the mammillary body to the posterior edge of the fourth ventricle (supraorbitomeatal).
