Abstract
Speech recognition algorithms have now progressed to tile point where large-vocabulary and continuous-speech recognition are frequently demo nstrated in the laboratory. This paper describes the implementation of the BT speech recognizer known as as Stap, a suite of software in whi ch the latest speech recognition algorithms are implemented in a flexi ble, robust package that is portable to a wide range of platforms.
